Indian films screened under the City to City programme included Ashim Ahluwalias Miss Lovely,Anurag Kashyaps Gangs of Wasseypur I and II and Vasan Balas Peddlers,among others. However,the premiere of Deepa Mehtas Midnights Children on Sunday turned out to be an impressive red carpet affair. A jubilant Mehta walked the red carpet with writer Salman Rushdie the film is an adaptation of his book of the same name at the Roy Thomson Hall. Members of the cast,Satya Bhabha,
Siddharth,Shriya Saran,
Shahana Goswami and Anita Majumdar followed. The cast and crew of Mira Nairs The Reluctant Fundamentalist was in attendance at its screening,too,with Kate Hudson and Kiefer Sutherland adding some Hollywood glamour.
Anupam Kher joined the team of David O Russels Silver Linings Playbook,where he features alongside Bradley Cooper,Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro.
