Seeking national recognition for Pahari as the language of the state,the Himachal Pradesh Assembly passed a resolution on Thursday,recommending its inclusion in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal moved the resolution in the house,which was passed by a voice vote in the absence of the Opposition members. The CM said that Pahari language could only be strengthened and propagated if it was included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
