Sarovars all-new Hometel in the city offers budget prices in a comfortable set-up
The city of Chandigarh is not just a tourist destination,its also seen as the gateway to the hills. Most travellers prefer to take a days breather in the city before embarking on further travela trend that the hospitality sector has been quick to observe. Until now a visitor to Chandigarh has had to choose from either just five-star hotel accommodation or a dingy budget room with not much facilities to boast of, mentions Ajay K Bakaya,executive director,Sarovar Hotels & Resorts that has formally opened doors to its Hometel tucked away in Industrial Area,Phase I in Chandigarh.
The 114-room hotel is the 45th in the companys portfolio and their fourth Hometel in the country. We launched the Hometel brand first in Bengaluru in the year 2006,followed by Hyderabad and Mumbai,with the aim to provide superior hospitality at competitive prices, says Bakaya,who is looking to add five more Hometels in the country by 2011.
The rooms are clean and spacious and come with modern amenities like wi-fi connection. Theres also a fine-dining restaurant Flavours along with a coffee shop and a bar. Theres a huge banquet space of over 8200 sq feet,ideal for business conferences in the tri-city as well as for wedding parties.
As part of an inaugural trial offer,a single room at Hometel Chandigarh is available for Rs 2,195 (all inclusive with buffet breakfast and wi-fi access). The offer is valid till 15 June 2010.
