A bureaucrat,annoyed with the government,had left for deputation some time ago. The government happily agreed. Soon,he returned and the government received him with opens arms. This monthly only,a principal secretary decided to go on leave following his transfer. The government acted promptly to find his replacement. Another officer,who has been on central deputation for a long time,agreed to return,but soon changed mind and proceeded on leave without joining. Latest in the list is the state CID chief proceeding on leave. Sarkar ko koyee farak nahin padta,says some blue-eyed officers.

Beware of rajas

Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal is allergic to the word raja. One can understand this in the background of professor sahibs bitter political rivalry with former chief minister Virbhadra Singh an erstwhile Raja of Bushehr state. After inquiries,it was revealed that the author himself was facing some disciplinary action.

Ever since honble chief minister (Prem Kumar Dhumal) has stopped eating outside to follow a strict diet after his illness,we do not get lunch during cabinet meetings. If the CM does not eat in the meetings,the ministers also have to live on simple home cooked food, he lamented.
