Govind Kumar had gone to Bathinda with his cousin and friends a few days ago. They used to work as daily wagers for loading wheat bags in the mandi and lived in a makeshift room constructed on the field where they were working.
His friend Sandeep said, “When we heard a loud explosion and saw that an aircraft had crashed, all of us rushed to the site. We saw a badly injured man. He was Govind. He must have reached there first and sustained burns and sharp-edged injuries. It appeared that he had sustained injuries due to an explosion that took place moments after the aircraft crashed. He was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.”
