Gurkirat Kirpal Singh is appointed new Punjab Home Secretary
Priyank Bharti, who had returned from central deputation will take charge as secretary (technical education and industrial training) in place of Seema Jain.

The Punjab government Monday posted senior IAS officer Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, as the Administrative Secretary, Home Affairs and Justice. He succeeds Anurag Verma, who was earlier elevated as chief secreatry.
Gurkirat Kirpal will continue to hold the charge as secretary (food, civil supplies and consumer affairs), and secretary (mines and geology). He has been relieved of tourism and cultural affairs that has been handed over to Rakhee Gupta Bhandari, principal secretary (parliamentary affairs).

Diprava Lakra has been handed over the charge of secretary (finance) against a vacant post. He has been given additional charges the managing director of Punjab Infrastructure Development Board relieving Mohammad Tayyab of the additional charge.
