A 22-year-old girl,Sangeeta,committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of her house in Ram Darbar area of Chandigarh on Wednesday.

A 22-year-old girl,Sangeeta,committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of her house in Ram Darbar area of Chandigarh on Wednesday.

According to the investigating officer,Sub Inspector Raghuvir Singh,she had been depressed since her brother committed suicide in a similar manner six months ago. Sangeeta’s brother was 14 years old when he hanged himself as he could not cope with family problems and the pressure of studies.

Sangeeta’s father is a teacher at the Government School,Sector 43,Chandigarh.
