Founders week celebrations conclude at Vivek High School

The evening opened with a rendering of a shabad.

Concluding their 7th annual founders week celebrations,Vivek High School,Mohali,staged a musical extravaganza,Blaze Away on Saturday. A harmonious potpourri of songs,dance and music,the musical extravaganza showcased the abundant genius of these young individuals in the arena of arts.

The evening opened with a rendering of a shabad. This was followed by a beautiful and melodious rendition of the songs,We are the world by Michael Jackson and Lionel Ritchie and Victory,composed by Bharat Sokagakkai.

Setting the tone of the classical evening,the students treated the audience with Raslila,which showcased the elevation of mankind to the perfection of human life. Vocal and instrumentals in synchronous harmony compelled a standing ovation too.

The audience were also treated to Kathak and folk dance from Gujarat,Maharashtra and Punjab as also the very western Salsa and Flamenco.

The evening took a fascinating turn with the fast-paced and rhythmic Bhangra,which enraptured the audience who clapped along with the beats of the lively music.
