Festive Fervour

Soch,the annual festival of School of Communication Studies,Panjab University,kickstarted on Monday with the theme “Go Green”.

Soch,the annual festival of School of Communication Studies,Panjab University,kickstarted on Monday with the theme “Go Green”. The calendar is packed with contests like graffiti,creative writing,and gaming among others. “We have introduced events like Wagging Tongue,where students give commentary on a mute video,” says Varsha Mahale,head of the design team. In a first,the festival also has a theme song. “It’s a mixture of rap,classical and Punjabi hip-hop,” says Ritambhara Singh,head of media planning committee. Mahale adds that a blood donation camp and a talk on traffic rules by the SP are also a part of the festival. Now in its fourth year,the festival has seen participation from colleges across North India. Old favourites like Spin Da Yarn and Ad Mad are also part of the list of activities.

The students have also prepared a street play called Be-dhadak. The festival is on till today.
