Engineer shoots himself dead

A 55-year-old engineer allegedly committed suicide at Kalka by shooting himself late on Saturday night. According to police,the engineer,who was identified as Dinesh Chauhan,shot himself at around 11 pm at Kalka on Saturday. Police officials said that the engineer was not getting on well with his wife,who has been living separately.

According to police officials,late on Saturday night,two of Chauhan’s sons heard a gunshot being fired at their house. Following this they rushed to the room and found him lying in a pool of blood.

Chauhan’s wife,however,in a statement given to the police,has alleged that her husband was not mentally stable. Police are trying to find out where Chauhan had procured the gun from. They added that the revolver that was used by the deceased was not a licensed one and they have registered a case.
