Double delight for Tejinder

It was a day of double delight for Tejinder Singh as he grabbed gold medals in the boys U-17 50 M Butterfly and 100 M Freestyle event in the sub-junior swimming competition

It was a day of double delight for Tejinder Singh as he grabbed gold medals in the boys U-17 50 M Butterfly and 100 M Freestyle event in the sub-junior swimming competition conducted by the Chandigarh Sports Department at the Sector 23 All Weather Swimming Pool on Wednesday. Tejinder claimed the title in the 100 M Freestyle event with a timing of one minute and 1.13 seconds while Abhishek Arora grabbed the silver medal clocking one minute and 4.17 seconds. The third spot was claimed by Mukesh Tarar with a timing of one minute and 5.81 seconds. In the 50 M Butterfly event,Tejidner won the title with a timing of 30.10 seconds while the second spot went to Amandeep Singh,who clocked 30.99 seconds. Ashraf grabbed the third spot with a timing of 35.09 seconds.

In the U-8 boys’ 50 M Freestyle event,it was easy going for Akshaj as he clinched the title with a timing of 54.53 seconds. Kunal Sigroaha claimed the second spot with a timing of 59.03 seconds while Tejasveer grabbed the third spot with a timing of 59.30 seconds.

It was a day of joy for Ranjot Singh as he claimed the title in the U-14 boys’ 100 M Freestyle event with a timing of one minute and 5.13 seconds. Jastaran Toor claimed the silver medal with a time of one minute and 6.36 seconds. Samar Toor claimed the third spot with a time of one minute and 7.10 seconds.

In the girls’ category,Samaira Guleria swam to glory in the 50 M Freestyle event with a timing of 51.85 seconds. The second spot went to Tista Tewani who clocked 59.56 seconds while Nandani claimed the third spot with a timing of one minute and 5.14 seconds.
