Double delight for Kamaljeet

Showing some quick reflexes,Kamaljeet Singh of NIS Patiala blanked Munish Saini in the finals to win the men's singles title on the concluding day of the Patiala District Table Tennis Ranking Tournament held at the Punjabi University on Monday.

Showing some quick reflexes,Kamaljeet Singh of NIS Patiala blanked Munish Saini in the finals to win the men’s singles title on the concluding day of the Patiala District Table Tennis Ranking Tournament held at the Punjabi University on Monday. He was the winner of youth boys’ singles category also.

Kamaljeet was in full flow against his opponent and did not drop any set in his 3-0 win. Kamaljeet won his second title of the day when he outplayed Gursewak Singh (NIS) 3-1.

Meanwhile,in the women’s category,Lovina (NIS) defeated Amandeep Kaur (Punjabi University) 3-1 to claim the title. Neha Soni of DMW had a memorable outing as he claimed a hat-trick of titles after she won the sub-junior girls’,junior girls’ and youth girls’ singles titles. Karan Bir Pali of DMW also bagged two titles- cadet boys and sub-junior boys’ singles titles. DMW’s Chander Mohan emerged as the winner of the junior boys’ title after he got the better of Sahil 3-2 in a thrilling final. Priya (DMW) won the cadet girls’ singles title after her fine 2-1 win over Akansha.
