A day after the officials walked out of the meeting of the General House, the UT Adviser has asked for a report about the incident from the Municipal Commissioner. The report would be prepared and submitted in the coming week.

The officials of the Municipal Corporation had walked out of the House Meeting on Friday complaining that they have been humiliated by the councillors.

In a letter to the Adviser and Municipal Commissioner they sought repatriation to their parent states and permission to proceed on leave.

The proceedings of the House came to a halt after the officials walked out. They refused to attend the proceedings of the House thereafter following which the meeting had to be adjourned. No agenda items could be passed.

Meanwhile the deadlock between the officials and the councillors continued today as well.

While some nominated councillors made attempts to act as mediators,no breakthrough could be made. The officials claim that the councillors question their integrity and make allegations against all of them.

Meanwhile councillors are of the opinion that the officials have violated service rules by walking out of the meeting.
