DB College of Education,Faridkot athletes claimed two titles during the Punjabi University ‘B’ Division Athletic Championship of BEd Colleges at the Punjabi University grounds. The college won the 4X400 metre relay (men) and 1500 metre race in which Jagroop Kaur finished first.

Sagar fashions NICS Patiala win
Sagar Kanwar’s well-compiled century (112 off 113 balls) helped NICS Patiala defeat APJ Kharar by 87 runs during the Second St Stephen’s Cricket Trophy for under-16 at Yadavindra Public School on Sunday. Batting first,NICS rode on Sagar’s century as the team posted 234 for 8 in 50 overs. Sagar’s innings contained 16 boundaries. Ekjot Singh and Karan Pathak contributed identical 27 runs to the team’s total. Karan Bhargawa picked up 3 for 44 runs. In reply,APJ Kharar were bowled out for 147 in 48.1 overs. Chetanpreet top scored with 34 runs. Nivandu Sharma and Patwinder scalped four wickets each to fashion NICS’s win.
Students felicitated on Appreciation Day
Rahul Dahiya,Komal,Simaranjeet,Varsha Sharma,Arjun Thakur and Puneet Kaur were declared best athletes in the under 14,16,19 categories,respectively,during the Appreciation Day function of St Soldier International School in Sector 28. The students were awarded for their excellent performance in different fields -academic,sports and co-curricular activities.
