Raj Kumar,Priyankas father, said,The incident took place before Rakshabhandan. She (Priyanka) complained of pain in her right leg to her mother who massaged the leg in order to soothe her pain. We forced her go to her school next day. By the time she returned, she had developed high fever.
Kumar added that for the past few days we had got medication from a private hospital as her mother was also undergoing treatment there.
On Thursday night, the girl had to be brought to the Government hospital when she complained of severe pain and was unable to walk. She was immediately administered glucose and further treatment is underway.
Kumar said that the school authorities had visited the girl in the hospital and offered to bear the cost of her treatment. They have also communicated to the parents that the girl will be shifted to a private hospital where she will undergo treatment.
