At the end of the fourth round on Friday,it was quite clear that Delhi had all the aces as they were leading on the first day of the Chandigarh Open bridge championship,a national level tournament,being held at Sector 42 Sports Complex. Constellations,with 87 points,was leading the pack,followed by Exploiters with 76 points.

With several national and international level players in their ranks,Delhi were definitely the dominant side in the championship on the first day. At the end of the fourth round,there was keen competition between three teams from Delhi and one from Haryana. The Chandigarh team led by HS Dhaliwal was also in the hunt for the top eight positions.

The team event is of eight rounds of Swiss League of 10 boards per round,part of which was played on Friday while the balance will be played on March 30. The top 8 teams will play the Super League on March 31. The pairs event will consist of two sessions on March 31.

1) Contellations (87 points),2) Exploters (76 pts),3) Dev-Asha (75 pts),4) Engineers (75 pts),5) Rab Rakha (72 pts),6) PBA II (69 pts),7) PBA I (64 pts),8) Ancient Champion (62 pts),Dehradun (62 pts).
