The complaint saidthat Narendra Modi delivered a speech in which he used false, defamatory and uncalled-for language against Pawan Kumar Bansal.

Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee (CTCC) has moved a complaint to the election department against BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for violation of model code of conduct during his rally held on March 29. A complaint in this regard has been lodged at the Sector 34 police station. The party has also moved a complaint against the in-charge of the city unit of BJP, Aarti Mehra.

The complaint given by the vice-president of CTCC, D D Jindal, states that during the BJP rally in Sector 34 on march 29, Narendra Modi delivered a speech in which he used false, defamatory and uncalled-for language against Congress candidate Pawan Kumar Bansal, which is in complete violation of the code of conduct.

Modi had said, “Bhrasthachar ke Pawan ko yahi par gaad do. Use jaane mat do. Yahin per rokdo,” the complaint said, adding that Modi made the statement in an attempt to damage Bansal’s image.

The complaint reads that Modi used the word “railgate”, which has nothing to do with the candidate. The CBI court in Delhi had dismissed the application filed by an NGO for directing a reinvestigation the matter against Bansal, it said.

In another complaint, the CTCC vice-president has said that the in-charge of the Chandigarh unit of the BJP, Aarti Mehra, has made defamatory comments by saying “Majboori ka naam Mahatma Gandhi….”.

The complaint states that the language is a clear insult to the Father of the Nation and in violation of the model code of conduct. Strict action has been demanded on the issue.
