Back from his foreign trip,Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal is set to address a number of Sangat Darshan programmes in the state. From February 10 to 16,six sessions will be organised in Doaba and Majha regions.

The concept of Sangat Darshan had played a big role in bringing the SAD-BJP alliance to power in 2007. With the 2012 Assembly elections approaching, according to sources, the ruling party will leave no stone unturned to use the scheme in its favour.

Sangat Darshan will be held at four places in Nakodar and Noormahal on February 10 and 11 and at two places on February 15 and 16 in Gurdaspur district’s Srihargobindpur Assembly constituency.

Sources in the party said the CM would address more Sangat Darshan programmes in Doaba and Majha in the next few months, during which he planned to dole out big grants for development of such areas to appease the masses in the last year of the present regime.
