Lok Sabha elections: Here’s a look at INDIA bloc Chandigarh candidate Manish Tewari’s assets
From agricultural land to residential plots, Manish Tewari’s immovable assets are worth about Rs 9.62 crore. Tewari filed his nomination for the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday.

Chandigarh INDIA bloc candidate Manish Tewari and his wife Naznin Shafa have assets worth Rs 29.68 crore. The Congress leader filed his nomination for the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday and documents revealed that the couple have immovable assets of Rs 20.87 crore and movable assets of Rs 8.81 crore. Of this, Tewari alone has total assets of Rs 16.15 crore, and his wife, Rs 13.52 crore.
From agricultural land to residential plots, Tewari’s immovable assets are worth about Rs 9.62 crore, the documents revealed. In the immovable category, he has a one-sixth share in a property measuring 13 bighas and 5 biswas in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur.
Tewari owns a house in Sector 4, Chandigarh, with an approximate market value of Rs 4 crore. He also co-owns a plot in The Foot Hills Residential Colony in New Chandigarh, Mullanpur, Punjab which is about 822.50 square yards, with his wife. The self-acquired plot was purchased on December 18, 2020, and has an approximate market value of Rs 3 crore (a 50 per cent share of Rs 6 crore).
He has another 50 per cent share in a residential space in Delhi, a self-acquired property purchased in August 2021, with his wife. The approximate market value is about Rs 2.5 crore (a 50 per cent share of Rs 5 crore).
Shafa’s immovable assets include a 302-square-yard house in Delhi (market value of Rs 5 crore) apart from the 50 per cent share in Tewari’s Mullanpur and Delhi plots. She has also a half share in a Mumbai apartment (one-third self-acquired plus one-sixth inherited) with a market value (the half share) of about Rs 75 lakh.
In the movable assets category, Tewari and his wife have 25 shares each in Reliance Power Limited. He also has 17 fixed deposits of different values. Tewari owns four cars – two Honda Cities, a Honda Accord and a Maruti S Cross.
Tewari also has a revolver inherited from his mother and Rs 25,850 cash in hand.
Meanwhile, Shafa has 2,095 grams of jewellery worth Rs 1.11 crore, Reliance shares and Rs 40,800 cash in hand.
Tewari’s assets as declared in 2019
In 2019, when Manish Tewari filed the nomination from Anandpur Sahib, his movable assets were worth Rs 6.48 crore while Shafa had movable assets worth Rs 1.20 crore. Tewari and Shafa had immovable assets worth Rs 3.11 crore and Rs 3.55 crore, respectively.
