Chandigarh declares holiday on January 22

The notification was issued by the Home department of the Chandigarh Administration on Friday. The Ayodhya Ram Mandir will be consecrated on January 22.

In view of the ‘Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha’ the Chandigarh administration has declared a complete holiday on January 22.

The notification issued by the Home department of the Chandigarh Administration Friday said, “The Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on 22nd January, 2024 across India. To enable employees to participate in the celebrations, it has been decided that all the Government Offices/ Boards/ Corporations/ Institutions, including Industrial Establishments under the Chandigarh Administration, will be closed on 22nd January, 2024.”

It added, “All the Administrative Secretaries/ Head of Departments under the Chandigarh Administration may bring the above decision to the notice of all concerned.”

The Chairman of the Bar council of Punjab and Haryana (BCPH) has also declared January 22 a non-working day for advocates in the States of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
