Chandigarh e-auction: Residential plot in Sector 33-C with Rs 14.96 cr reserve price, commercial SCO in Sector 8-C with Rs 14.59 cr among key listings

The UT Chandigarh Estate Office has announced the e-auction of premium residential and commercial properties in the city, including the highest reserve price plot of Rs 14.96 crore at Sector 33-C and a top-value commercial SCO site in Sector 8-C priced at Rs 14.59 crore. The residential sites are being offered on a freehold basis, while commercial properties are on leasehold. The online auction will be conducted through the Government of India’s official e-auction portal.
As per the official schedule, submission and payment of required documents and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) will be accepted from August 8 to 28. The scrutiny and approval of submitted documents will be carried out between August 29 and September 1. The e-auction process is set to take place from September 2 to 4, with daily bidding windows open from 9 to 11 am.
The auction features 14 residential plots across sectors 19-B, 33-C, 38-B, 40-D and 44-C. Plot sizes range from 88.06 sq yards to 281.25 sq yards.
The smallest residential plot available for auction is of 126.75 square yards in Sector 40-D, and the biggest one is 1,014 square yards (2 kanal plot) in Sector 33-C.
Among the total 14 residential plots on auction, there are four one kanal plots (503.028 square yards each) with the reserved price of Rs. 7.42 crore each – all in Sector 19-B.
The highest reserve price is Rs. 14.96 crore for a 1,014 square yards plot (2 kanal) in Sector 33-C, and as per the auction notice, it is not a corner/ park-facing. The lowest reserve price is Rs. 1.78 crore for a 126.75 square yard plot in Sector 40-D.
EMD for residential plots vary from Rs. 3.57 lakh for the smallest plot (126.75 square yards) and Rs. 29.93 lakh for that of the biggest plot (1,014 square yards).
A 5 per cent premium will be levied on corner or park-facing plots, including sites in Sectors 19-B, 40-D and 33-C.
In the commercial segment, seven properties, including SCOs, constructed booths, and service booths across Sectors 8-C, 24-D, 41-D, 22-C, 43-B, and 44-C and D will be auctioned.
The most expensive is a 324.803 square yard SCO site at Sector 8-C with a reserve price of Rs 14.59 crore and an EMD of Rs 29.08 lakh. The lowest-priced commercial site carries a reserve price of Rs 41.81 lakh for 13.63 square yards (constructed service booth) at Sector 43-B.
The lowest-priced commercial booth site is 22.34 square yards (Sector 45 C & D) and its reserve price is Rs. 66.50 lakh. Corner and park-facing sites in the commercial category will also attract an additional 5 per cent charge.
The Estate Office has invited prospective bidders to register online at https://eauction.gov.in and obtain a valid Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) for document submissions. Required documents include proof of EMD payment via RTGS/NEFT, PAN card, identification proof, and signed terms and conditions. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected, as mentioned in the notification.
