Census operations in snow-covered areas from June 1

He said the entire Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti districts,Dodra Kawar tehsil of Shimla district,Multhan sub-tehsil of Kangra district and Pangi tehsil of Chamba were considered to be snow covered areas.

Tegta said training sessions were being conducted at district and tehsil levels in all such areas.

Presiding over the workshop,the Kinnaur deputy commissioner and principal census officer said the workshop had been organised to train district and sub-divisional Census officers,besides other officers in charge of Census operations in the district. The Census work in non-tribal areas,which started last month,would end next week,Tegta said.
