Cell-shocked: Two caught cheating in SSC exam

Two persons taking the Staff Selection Commission examination were caught cheating at Government School,Sector 23,on Sunday. They were found using mobile phones.

Two persons taking the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examination were caught cheating at Government School,Sector 23,on Sunday. They were found using mobile phones.

While one was arrested,the other managed to flee.

The two accused are Pradeep Rao,a resident of Hisar district,and Manjit,who hails from Jind. They were booked on charges of cheating by the Chandigarh Police under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

Rao was arrested when an examiner noticed him using Bluetooth during the examination. On being frisked,a mobile phone was found hidden inside his shirt. Then he was handed over to the police.

In another room at the same examination centre,the examiner found Manjit using a mobile phone during the examination. After he was confronted,he immediately fled and dropped his earphone in the process. He was booked and raids are on to arrest him.

A case was registered at the Sector 17 police station.
