Nearly three dozen students, mostly girls, of the government high school at Bani in Kathua could be seen in the short video clip lying on the floor and crying inconsolably as their teachers try to console them.
While the initiative to invite private players is new, the administration had inked pacts with leading private firms such as the HCL Foundation and Paytm last year for partnership in around 100 schools.
“Now will everybody say a sentence in English?”, the teacher asked. A few students said “Yes”. The teacher then translated the question in Hindi and asked again. Most students then responded in Gujarati — “Yes we will!”
A senior government official said when Sisodia, who also holds the education portfolio, interacted with the students, they gave him indications of the "unacceptable behaviour" of the three accused teachers and a continuous neglect of studies.
Manipur, Mar 01(ANI): Mr. Thangkhogin Haokip a Government School Primary Teacher of Molnom Junior High School was allegedly killed by a suspected National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) cadres in Chandel District of Manipur. It is also being reported that several rounds of gun had been fired from the side of suspected NSCN – IM cadres. Both men and women came out on the streets and blocked the road, leading to the Aimol Satu Village, and took the dead body to the alleged NSCN-IM’s residence. The irated villagers ransacked the houses located in the Aimol Satu Village and destroyed and burnt down gates, motor-cycles, houses etc.
