Come 2010,and size zero is going to be shoved at the back of the wardrobe for according to Salman Khan,his girl in the upcoming epic Veer has to look well,sizeable! The scoop is that Veer’s leading lady,Zarine Khan,was instructed to pile on the pounds for her role in Veer. Eros International and Vijay Galani’s Moviez Veer stars Salman in an epic period film set in the late 18th century in India. Since the film goes back in time,the research for it stated that women in that era were on the heavier side – full bodied and voluptuous. A little bird tells us that a skinny Zarine was quite shocked at the request. But she conceded,after all it’s a debut with Sallu Mian. So,Zarine went ahead and gorged on chocolate cake! Says Salman,“She is in the literal sense destiny’s child. I’m glad we cast her in the film. She has worked hard on her look in the film and is very talented as everyone will witness on January 22.”

Ever since her debut,the girl’s been on a award spree. After Ghajini,Asin bagged the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. The recent one is Lux-Sabse Tez Sitara for an upcoming and promising star in the film industry. Says a source,“Asin has big brands behind her name. She made her debut with Aamir Khan and the next film saw her with Salman Khan. She is a classic beauty and has a long way to go in the industry. The Sabse Tez Sitar Award is well deserved. Asin also received the Kalaimamani Award from the Governor of Chennai for her contribution to arts and cinema and the Anandalok Award (the biggest award ceremony in Kolkata) for best actress for Ghajini.
