Carrom state tournament in September

The Chandigarh Carrom Association will host the 23rd Chandigarh State Carrom Championship from September 7 to 9. Announcing this,general secretary Mahesh Sekhri said the association has finalized its calendar of sports activities for 2013-14.

Calendar: 1. The 16th St. Stephen’s Carrom Ranking Tournament(organized by St. Stephen’s School,under the auspices of theChandigarh Carrom Association) from July 27 to 29.2. The 23rd Chandigarh State Carrom Championship from September 7 to 9.3. The 15th Raj Kumar Babuta Memorial Prize Money Ranking Tournament from October 19 to 21,4. The Prize Money Ranking Carrom Tournament from December 21 to 23. Besides,the top ranked players will also be sent for participation in the forthcoming National Championships in all categories.

Also,Chandigarh Carrom Association will organise the 16th edition of the St Stephen’s Carrom Ranking Tournament at St Stephen’s School,Sector 45,from July 27. The three-day event will see six events. A player should be under the age of 18 years and 14 years as on December 31,2013,for participation in the junior and sub-junior categories respectively. The Chandigarh team for the upcoming National Championship will also be selected during the meet. Interested players can submit their entries to Diwan Singh Aithani at 09872922514. Entries will close at 5 pm on July 22.
