Car rams tempo; four killed

Four persons lost their life when an Indica car lost control and rammed a tempo standing on the road on Thursday late night. The accident took place on the Moga-Ferozepur road.

The deceased have been identified as Gurpreet Singh; Sukhjinder Singh,both residents of Moga; Simarjeet Kaur,a resident of Zira and the driver of the tempo Ashok Kumar,a resident of Mullanpur.

Police said eyewitnesses saw the car coming at a high speed towards the city. While negotiate a broke patch of the road,the car driver lost control and rammed the tempo. The tempo driver Ashok Kumar was pouring diesel when the incident took place. The impact was so great that the front portion of the car broke and even dragged the tempo to some distance,killing its driver.

Gursewak Singh,head of a local NGO which sent an ambulance said,The impact was so sever that no one survived.
