India’s first high speed train project has been proposed to connect Panipat with Delhi. The trains will run at an interval of 10 minutes. The Haryana government finalised the alignment for the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) on Delhi-Sonepat-Panipat corridor at a meeting held here on Monday under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System Limited gave a presentation to Hooda on the RRTS. The train will halt at Panipat city,Samalkha,Gannaur,Murthal,Rai,Kundli,Narela,Mukarba Chowk Badli and Kashmiri Gate.

Prefabricated biogas plants for Haryana
The Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA),which is a nodal agency for promotion of renewable energy in the state,has decided to install prefabricated biogas plants in urban and rural areas of the state. The plants will be installed under the scheme of National Biogas and Manure Management Programme,using kitchen and other biodegradable waste. Entrepreneurs interested to install these plants should submit applications in the prescribed proforma to the office of HAREDA on or before October 15,2010. The proforma can be downloaded from HAREDA website or collected from its office.

Ministers must inform PMO of foreign visits
The Central government has issued fresh instructions regarding foreign travel by ministers in the Union or state government. According to instructions received by the chief secretary of Haryana,the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) should be kept informed of foreign visits,either official or private,of the chief ministers and ministers in state governments and union territories,with mandatory prior political and Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) clearances.

Pahadia inaugurates Gurgaon tourism fair
Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia inaugurated a three-day tourism fair in Gurgaon to mark World Tourism Day. The fair is a curtain raiser to the Gurgaon Shopping Festival to be organised from October 6 to November 7.

Haryana hikes DA of govt employees
The Haryana government announced to enhance the rate of dearness allowance (DA) payable to its employees to 45 per cent from the existing 35 per cent with effect from July 1. Finance Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said the grant of 10 per cent DA installment would be given in cash to the employees.
