One person died and two others were injured when a Pollution Control Board vehicle hit them in Chota Shimla area late Thursday night.

One dead,two hurt in accident
One person died and two others were injured when a Pollution Control Board vehicle hit them in Chota Shimla area late Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Govind Ram,who worked as a carpenter in the Public Works department. The driver of the PCB vehicle,Saish Kumar,was also injured and has been admitted in IGMC hospital. The other injured,Ajay Sood,was employed in a private firm. The conditions of both are said to be stable. Police have registered a case for rash and negligent driving causing death,but have not arrested the driver. There were reports that the driver was in an inebriated condition,but the police are yet to confirm it.

Chairman and Managing Director of Moti Mahal Delux,Ashim Gujral,said the group will operate through its franchise,Bridge View Regency,located on the Mall,and will serve non-vegetarian,vegetarian,Chinese and even continental cuisine.

Noted writer and poet S R Harnote has been conferred with the Hindi Sewa Samman by Ujjain-based Malwa Rangmanch Samiti and Kritika Communications of Mumbai. The award will be presented on September 12 at Ujjain on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.
