A 14-member Rotary delegation from the city is set to visit Thailand

A Group of 14 members of Rotary Club Chandigarh Central are set to visit Thailand from January 22 to 25. Speaking about the trip,president of the Club,H S Saggu,who will also lead the delegation informed that a joint meeting of the Chandigarh Central with Rotary club of Pattaya Marina will be held at Thailand. The Chandigarh arm of the Rotary Club would showcase the work done at its various community service projects including vocational training,stitching school,‘Medical Mela’,computer centre,dispensary at Kishangarh village,immunization centre at Government Medical College and Hospital,Sector 32,rain water harvesting project at SOREM and various other initiatives. According to Rotarian Mahesh Arora,“Both the clubs intend to pursue some joint service project besides organizing family and youth exchange programme.” The motive of the meeting is to increase fellowship among the members and to discuss projects related to health,humanity and hunger,he added.

Information on Rotary Club Pattaya Marina projects like Pattaya care,financing wells,special Olympic for handicapped,medical kits and school students support will be taken from their president Florent Pallegrin. “Interacting with the members of Rotary Club of Pattaya Marina will be helpful as new ideas can be incorporated in our policies so as to get better output,” remarked Saggu as he went on to add,“We would be inviting them as well so that they could have a deeper look into the policies which we are propagating.”
