BJP’s Haryana manifesto: Rs 2,100 for women, scooties for girl students, free dialysis, 2 lakh govt jobs
The BJP's Haryana Assembly elections manifesto released by J P Nadda promised free medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh, with an additional Rs 5 lakh for those aged 70 and above.

BJP national president J P Nadda released his party’s manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections in Haryana. Some of the promises include Rs 2,100 per month to women, providing scooties to female college students, offering free dialysis in government hospitals, providing free diagnosis in both government and private hospitals, and ensuring free medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh, with an additional Rs 5 lakh for those aged 70 and above.
The BJP manifesto, released by Nadda in Rohtak, also announced that 2 lakh youths will be given government jobs on a merit basis, while 5 lakh youths will be facilitated to enhance their skills and shall be given a monthly stipend.
Nadda announced that the BJP in power will create 10 model industrial townships and provide employment to 50,000 youths in the nearby areas. The minimum support price (MSP) for 24 crops in Haryana will continue to be provided, and 5 lakh houses will be constructed for BPL families in both rural and urban areas, he said.
The BPL families’ women will continue to receive LPG cylinders for Rs 500, and the Haryana government will provide guaranteed employment to Agniveers in Haryana, he added.
Nadda promised improved train and road connectivity from Delhi to Chandigarh, covering various districts of Haryana. He also stated that all 36 communities, particularly backward classes, will have their own separate welfare boards, and the government will provide financial assistance to each of these welfare boards.
Nadda mentioned that students from OBC/SC/ST backgrounds studying medical or engineering degrees will receive a full scholarship. Backward Class entrepreneurs will be eligible for an interest-free loan of Rs 25 lakh. He also announced that the Aravali will be transformed into an international-level safari spanning 10,000 acres.
“The most important for us is how do we look at the manifesto. Congress started a tradition of making the manifesto look like an irrelevant document. For them, this document is merely a formality. What was Haryana’s impression 10 years ago – it used to be known for parchi-kharchi recruitments, land-scams, people were jailed for such erroneous recruitments, usurping farmers’ lands, change of land use. Every previous government used to be identified as corrupt regimes. Today, I will explain why this document, the manifesto, is of extreme importance to us,” Nadda said before releasing the manifesto.
“For us, this manifesto is a document to ensure a non-stop Haryana. For us, it is important to ensure this document shows our seriousness – whatever we say, we did… In 2014, Haryana’s per capita income was Rs 1.47 lakh, today it is Rs 3 lakh . Haryana’s export was Rs 68,000 crore; today it is Rs 2.5 lakh crore,” he added.
Nadda, the Union Health Minister, also said that the number of medical colleges has increased from seven to 15 and the number of medical college seats has increased from 700 to 2,185.
“In 2014, 538 villages had 24-hour electricity, and now there are 5,800 such villages. During the Congress regime, Rs 1,158 crore was given for crop compensation, but the BJP has given Rs 12,212 crore, which is more than 10 times the amount. The old age pension has been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. Additionally, the BJP government has announced MSP on 24 crops procurement in Haryana, whereas during the Congress regime, MSP was given for only eight crops.”
“We have implemented 100 per cent of our 2014 and 2019 manifestos. This is our report card that we are keeping in front of you all. This is changing Haryana,” Nadda added.
Voting for the 90-member Haryana Assembly is scheduled for October 5, with the counting of votes set for October 8.
