BCom admissions: Forms submission ends at 5 pm

The deadline for submission of application forms for admission to BCom in colleges in Chandigarh and Ludhiana is till 5 pm on Saturday. For a total of 4,000 seats,nearly 12,000 students have registered so far,while the number was nearly 10,000 last year.

Until last year,BCom admissions were being conducted through at least three rounds of counselling,which spanned over a period of four weeks. This time,the applicants have been asked to provide six preferences of colleges,and only one counselling session will be conducted after the declaration of the tentative merit list on July 4.

Among the 11 colleges offering BCom in Chandigarh,GGDSD College Sector 32,has been the first choice of most of the students in the past few years,setting the highest admission cut-off.

This year,colleges in Hoshiarpur have not been included in the centralised admission process. The centralised system will conduct admission to colleges in Chandigarh,including Department of Evening Studies,Panjab University,and colleges located in Ludhiana,including Shree Atam Vallabh Jain College of Commerce & Management.
