CTU workers hold protest

The members of the CTU workers’ union held a protest on Thursday for fulfillment of their demands. The CTU workers alleged that the officials have failed to purchase new buses despite the budget for the same having lapsed last year.

DJ held for playing music too loudly

Police arrested a disc jockey in the late hours of Wednesday for playing music loudly and talking in a rough tone to a police official. Surinder Nath was playing music at a birthday party of a child at Ram Darbar in Phase 1. At 11.30 in the night,the Sector 31 police station received a PCR call complaining that the music was too loud.

CHB staff hold pen-down strike

The staff of Chandigarh Housing Board held a pen-down strike on Thursday in continuation with the chain hunger strike that has been going on for the last 67 days. The staff is demanding implementation of the pension scheme for the employees. Every day five staff members sit for a hunger strike.

PU has invited applications for admission in the 2-year MSc course in Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering. Students can submit the filled forms in the office of the Centre for Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering (CSCTE) by July 3.

PUSU holds protest
