PU to honour Hindi poet
Chandigarh: The Department of Hindi,Panjab University will celebrate the birth centenary year of Hindi poet and prose-writer Shamsher Bahadur Singh on August 25 at 11 am at the department by conducting a power-point presentation on his life and works,to be presented by Dr Satyapal Sehgal,Chair of the department. This will be facilitated by an audio-rendering of select poems of the poet,in his own voice. The function is open to general public.
Spiritual discourse organised
Chandigarh : Thousand of devotees attended the discourse of spiritual guru,Sant Harbans Sahib at the Rock Garden Auditorium on Monday. Addressing the devotees,Sant Sahib said there is one path to realise The Absolute. The path involves carrying out unmotivated mediation of the Supreme Being by concentrating on the real or principle heart. Sant Harbans Sahib further said that nobody can remain without karma even for a while. Renunciation of karma should not happen. Instead renunciation of the ego in our karma must happen,he said.
Physiotherapy workshop held
Chandigarh: The Indian Society of Physiotherapy Education and Research (ISPER) in collaboration with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists,Chandigarh branch organised a workshop on Neurodynamics and its application in physiotherapy at ICSSR hall,Panjab University on Sunday. The workshop was inaugurated by the Registrar,Prof AK Bhandari.
