The corneas were preserved in Eye Bank of Command Hospital to give eyesight to the needy.

The command hospital team has been retrieving organs and was recently awarded the title of Best Organ Retrieval Centre by the Government of India.

In a statement issued here, the hospital authorities said Havildar Naresh Kumar’s decision to donate his son’s organs is a shining example of sacrifice and devotion to humanity. “In a poignant tribute, Hav Naresh Kumar has ensured that his son’s legacy lives on, making him immortal in the truest sense of the word,” the statement said.
