Panic gripped Sekhan Majra village under Sohana police station limits when three armed robbers stormed a house at midnight and fled with cash and jewellery worth lakhs.

Complainant Kulwant Singh said he was asleep with his family on Sunday night when, around 1:15 am, he heard his wife scream. As he rushed towards her room, he found the courtyard bulb switched off and came face to face with a gunman who threatened, “If you make noise, I’ll shoot you.”

At that moment, Kulwant’s son Kulwinder appeared, but another intruder struck him on the head with a sharp weapon, leaving him seriously injured. The robbers then forced open an almirah, seizing Rs 12 lakh in cash and gold ornaments, before warning the family not to follow them.
