The aim is to bond and build friendships. With that ‘Aspiration’,a newly-formed ladies’ forum for women between the ages 25 to late 40s has rolled out. “The club is for like-minded women and will pack in innovative ideas and dish out special events on latest technologies,yoga,better grooming,finance planning and assistance with medical problems,” informed the club’s founder member Monica Singhal at the launch party of the club held at Hotel KLG,Sector 43,Chandigarh. Besides a fashion show,the inaugural event also cultural programmes being organised including dances by various members. Madhu Bansal,wife of Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal,was the chief guest on the occasion. “The club will be organizing at least one programme every month,” mentioned another founder member Neepa Arora as she went on to add,”As the name of the club suggests,the ladies aspire to reach the sky. This is not only an entertainment forum but we would like to venture into various social fields,create awareness among woman regarding social,political and legal issues. There will be various programmes and talks by eminent doctors,dieticians and counsellors regarding health. We will try to celebrate Teej in a very traditional manner for a change. On the occasion of Karvachauth we will host an exhibition as all the ladies want to go out and spend some quality time with friends. So we decided to have a bumper gift round and exhibition by the members of the club only.”
