Senior BJP leader L K Advanis Jan Chetna Yatra will reach Chandigarh on November 16. After an overnight stay in the city,the yatra would proceed to Ambala on November 17. Advani had kicked off the yatra from Bihar. The aim was to highlight the issue of corruption and black money and promoting clean governance. This is the sixth rath yatra being undertaken by Advani. The all India organising secretary of the yatra,Ram Lal,was in the city today to hold discussions with leaders of the Chandigarh unit of BJP to chalk out the plan for the visit. Advani would be reaching Chandigarh in the evening on November 16 from Jammu. After being received at the Airport his rath would move towards Sector 29-31 lightpoint and the procession would reach the Rally Ground in Sector 25. Arrangements would be made for his welcome at different sectors through which the yatra would pass. Advani would be addressing BJP workers at the Rally Ground. Cultural programmes would also be organised. The city unit of BJP has constituted 17 teams for making arrangements for the event. These teams would look into different aspects like making arrangements for stay,food,security,etc. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha would be entrusted with the task of providing security. A BJP leader said that around 500 BJYM activists would be involved with the security aspect. General Secretary of the city unit Arun Sood said,We are expecting thousands of BJP workers to attend the rally. The party is making arrangements to make the rally a success. It would give a boost to our election preparation. A meeting of BJP workers to discuss the preparations for the elections of the Municipal Corporation as well as Advanis visit would be held on Sunday. The workers would be briefed about the preparations that need to be made for the rally.
