The original superhero of Indian television,Mukesh Khanna threw open the doors of Shaktimaan Institute of Acting for Film & Television (SIAFT) in the city recently. Khanna said,“Hero,especially an action hero,is not born with the talent,but develops his/her skills through hard work and dedication,and acting schools are one way of helping the actor in you.” Armed with an ambitious plan to open theme-based acting schools across the country,Khanna added that the idea is to offer a platform to aspirants,closer home. “I have also called upon like-minded people from various cities to join me and create suitable teaching platforms in their cities,” said Khanna. The thespian has partnered with SMC BIZZ,Sector 8,Chandigarh. The courses include three-month comprehensive diploma in acting,body movement,voice training,diction and speech,shooting,and allied courses such as dance and action.
