28 IPS officers transferred in Haryana; Rakesh Arya appointed Panchkula CP
IPS officer named in viral sexual harassment complaint also shifted

The Haryana government on Wednesday transferred 28 IPS officers and assigned additional responsibilities to three others.
According to government orders, Alok Kumar Roy, a 1991-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as DG (Railways and Commando). OP Singh, a 1992-batch officer promoted to DGP rank, will continue as Managing Director of Haryana Police Housing Corporation, with additional charges of FSL (Madhuban) and Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau.
Ajay Singhal, a 1992-batch officer, will serve as DG (Human Rights and Litigation), while Vikas Arora, recently promoted to ADGP, will continue as Commissioner of Police in Gurgaon. Other appointments include Saurabh Singh as ADGP (South Range, Rewari), Hardeep Singh Doon as ADGP (Telecommunication), Rajshree Singh as IGP (Personnel), and Y Puran Kumar as IGP at Haryana Police Academy (Madhuban). Rakesh Kumar Arya will take over as Commissioner of Police in Panchkula, and B Satheesh Balan will assume the role of Commissioner of Police in Jhajjar.
Manisha Chaudhary, a 2011-batch IPS officer, has been posted as SP in the Anti-Corruption Bureau, while Himanshu Garg, from the 2013 batch, has been appointed AIG (Administration) at the state police headquarters in Panchkula.
Additional postings include Ganga Ram Punia as SP Karnal, Rajesh Kumar as SP Jind, Shashank Kumar Sawan as SP Hisar, Mohit Handa as DCP (Crime) Gurgaon, Narendra Bijarniya as SP Rohtak, Maqsood Ahmed as DCP (Crime) Faridabad, Nitish Agarwal as SP Bhiwani, Arsh Verma as SP Dadri, Deepak Saharan as DCP (Headquarters) Jhajjar, Sumit Kumar as SP (Railways) Ambala, Pooja Vashisth as SP Mahendragarh, Sidharth Jain as SP Dabwali, Hemendra Kumar Meena as SP Hansi, Jasleen Kaur as DCP (Traffic) Faridabad, Rajiv Deswal as SP Yamunanagar, Deepti Garg as Commandant of the 4th Indian Reserve Battalion in Manesar, and YVR Shashi Sekhar as ASP Rohtak. Additionally, AIG (Provisioning) Kamal Deep Goyal will also hold the charge of AIG (Welfare) at the state police headquarters.
IPS officer named in viral harassment letter also transferred
An IPS officer against whom allegations were raised in a viral sexual harassment letter has also been transferred from his district post as Superintendent of Police. The Haryana State Commission for Women recommended his transfer out of the district until the probe into the allegations is completed.
