Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has turned the party into a “banyan tree” making it obligatory on its workers to “serve the people like Bajrangbali”, said Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Vadodara Sunday. Patel also stressed that the state government had “no shortage” of budget to implement various development projects.

“In Gujarat, there is no shortage of budget to implement development projects. In fact, the state has allocated the biggest budget so far this year. The road map of the next five years has been prepared through the budget and it is the party workers who have to take this information across to the people,” said Patel who was addressing party workers’ Trimandir at Varnama in Vadodara. He highlighted that the BJP bagging 156 seats in the December 2022 state Assembly elections was a result of the “hard work of the party workers”.

“Many times, they (party workers) even forget their own problems and continue to be at the service of the people… The leadership of PM Modi, Amit Shah, CR Paatil, and JP Nadda has taken the party to the highest pinnacles… In fact, we are proud to see how Modiji’s leadership has turned the party into a banyan tree and hence, we have to continue to serve the people like Bajrangbali (Hanuman),” Patel said.

Later, Patel laid the foundation stone of a Nutan Kanya Chhatralaya and Working Women’s Hostel of the Saurashtra Leuva Patel community in the Gorwa area of Vadodara. Patel said the samaj had “set an example” of making good use of ‘funds’. “When religious and social institutions join hands with the government, development can take place at a faster speed,” Patel said. Once complete, the hostel will house 24 working women as well as 150 female students and 150 male students.
