The major decline was recorded in mathematics and science subjects wherein the students of Class 5 scored a learning achievement of 79% in science in 2018-19 which decreased to 37% when they reached Class 9. In mathematics the same set of students had scored 73% in 2018, which dropped to 39% (decrease by 34%), in 2022. Class 6 students who recorded a learning achievement of 70% in 2018, dropped to 57% in 2022.
The purpose of the survey was to study the learning status of all the students in various subjects and also to identify the basic facilities of the school, teacher qualification, mid-day meal scheme, teaching-learning environment, impact of various academic programmes and to understand the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on their learning abilities.
As part of the survey, subject-wise question papers with competency based multiple choice and descriptive type questions were given to students.
