Two students of a private college in Karnataka’s Davanagere reportedly died by suicide after an alleged video of their intimate moments went viral on social media. According to a police officer, the deceased students were in a relationship.
Two months ago, an unknown person filmed them during their private moments on the terrace of the college building without their knowledge. Recently, the video surfaced on multiple social media platforms and their families came across the clip.
Following this, the girl died by suicide on Friday, and the boy also killed himself late at night. The families of both girl and boy have filed a separate complaint with the police.
K Arun, Superintendent of Police, Davanagere, told the media that an investigation is underway to identify the culprit.
