The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall across several parts of Karnataka in the next 24 hours, with some areas likely to witness thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds. Residents in the affected regions are advised to remain alert to sudden changes in weather, particularly in areas prone to gusty winds and thundershowers. Farmers have also been cautioned to take necessary measures to protect standing crops from localised heavy spells. Gusty winds with speeds between 30–40 kmph may accompany these showers. Light rainfall is also expected in Bagalkot, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal and Vijayapura districts. South Interior Karnataka: Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Hassan, Mysuru and Kolar are set to receive light to moderate rain/thundershowers with gusty winds. Other districts including Ballari, Bengaluru (Urban & Rural), Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Mandya, Ramanagara, Tumakuru and Vijayanagara may see light rain.
