Bigg Boss Kannada fame Rajath Kishan arrested for violating bail conditions in machete case
Kishan and another former Bigg Boss contestant Vinay Gowda were arrested by the Basaveshwara Nagar police last month for brandishing a machete in a reel on Instagram.

The Bengaluru city police on Wednesday arrested Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Rajath Kishan for violating conditions of the bail granted to him in connection with a case registered against him for alleged public nuisance and violations of the Arms Act.
Kishan and another former Bigg Boss contestant Vinay Gowda were arrested by the Basaveshwara Nagar police last month for brandishing a machete in a reel on Instagram. The video, uploaded under the handle “bujjjjii,” showed Kishan and Gowda wielding a machete, posing for the camera, and walking in public.
According to a police official, Kishan failed to turn up after the police summoned him for questioning in the case, in violation of one of the bail conditions. A non-bailable warrant was issued against him, following which Kishan was arrested and after being presented before a magistrate, was remanded to judicial custody. Meanwhile, Gowda appeared before the court voluntarily, and was fined Rs. 500.
Both were later released on conditional bail after surrendering the machete, which appeared to be a movie prop made of fibre. However, further investigation revealed that the weapon displayed in the video was different that the one surrendered, prompting the police to take fresh action.
A suo motu FIR was registered against Kishan and Gowda on March 20, based on a complaint from the police station’s social media monitoring cell. The two men were charged under Section 270 (public nuisance) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and relevant sections of the Arms Act.
They were kept in police custody for three days before being released on conditional bail on March 24.
