Bigg Boss Kannada 10 contestant Varthur Santhosh arrested for wearing ‘tiger claw’ pendant
A forest department official said that Varthur Santhosh said he had received the ‘tiger claw’ from his ancestors.

Bigg Boss Kannada 10 contestant Varthur Santhosh was arrested on Sunday after he was seen wearing an alleged tiger claw pendant inside the house where the reality show was being recorded. Santhosh was arrested after the forest department received a complaint against him.
Bengaluru Urban Deputy Conservator of Forests N Ravindrakumar confirmed the arrest. “After receiving the information, we went to the place where the shooting was taking place. We asked the staff to send Santosh out and when we checked the pendant, it was confirmed that it was a tiger claw. We took him into custody,” Ravindrakumar told The Indian Express.
A forest officer said that when they questioned Santhosh about the tiger claw, he said that he had received it from his ancestors. However, under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, wearing or displaying any animal parts is a punishable offence, the officer added.
Santhosh is in the business of selling cows in Bengaluru’s Varthur and is also involved in the real estate business. He became a hit on social media after some of his videos went viral and this got him a ticket to enter Bigg Boss.
A spokesperson of Viacom 18, the company that owns Colors Kannada where Bigg Boss is being telecast, refused to comment on the issue.
