This comes after two consecutive days of rainfall, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds across the state. Meanwhile, scattered heavy to very heavy, and isolated extreme rainfall is very likely along coastal Karnataka and adjacent Ghat districts today.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old woman died in Bengaluru’s Whitefield area after a wall collapsed over her amid heavy rainfall for over six hours, accompanied by thunderstorms across the city late Sunday. The deceased was identified as Shashikala. Calling it a “matter of sorrow” over a post on X, the CM announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the deceased’s family.
