Bengaluru News Live Updates, June 15:A month after the Congress won Assembly election in Karnataka, the cabinet led by Siddaramaiah on Thursday decided to repeal the controversial anti-conversion bill tabled by the previous BJP government. The new bill is slated to be tabled in the next session of the legislature. The cabinet also decided to repeal the changes made to the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) Act. Additionally, the Karnataka cabinet decided to provide supplementary textbooks for the subjects of Kannada and Social Science and remove lessons featuring Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders, Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar Hegdewar and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, as well as a lesson written by right-wing orator Chakravarty Soolibele. In other news, Bengaluru resident Vivek Raj, a member of the Dalit community from Uttar Pradesh, died by suicide alleging "caste discrimination and atrocity" at workplace.
