SRPF constable’s son found hanging

A State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) constable’s 17-year-old son,who had failed in two of the subjects in his Class XII board (general stream) exams the results for which were declared last month,hanged himself to death on Tuesday morning.

A State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) constable’s 17-year-old son,who had failed in two of the subjects in his Class XII board (general stream) exams the results for which were declared last month,hanged himself to death on Tuesday morning.

The deceased,Upendra Rawat,son of constable Daya Rawat,left behind a suicide note saying he was not under any pressure after failing his exams but was upset because the state education board had not announced the dates for supplementary exam for repeaters so far.

The boy also used to work on part-time basis with a private firm near his residence at Shiv Shaktinagar Society in Chandkheda.

According to police,when Upendra’s mother woke up on Tuesday morning,she saw him hanging to a ceiling fan. A suicide note dated June 2,2012,was recovered from his pocket,police said.
