Sixth H1N1 case reported

The sixth positive case of H1N1 in Gujarat this year was reported from Ahmedabad on Thursday.

The sixth positive case of H1N1 in Gujarat this year was reported from Ahmedabad on Thursday. A 50-year-old resident of Chandkheda was admitted to the Civil Hospital on Wednesday,and medical tests H1N1 infection today.

The patient is currently in an isolation ward and his condition is stable and has so far not required ventilator support,said Dr Dinkar Raval,the state nodal officer for H1N1 and Deputy Director of the Health Department’s epidemic division.

Dr M M Prabhakar,Medical Superintendent at the Civil Hospital,said the patient’s relatives and acquaintances are being counselled and observed.
